We are proud of our list of 2015 services to our ALS community. We are looking forward to exceeding these in 2016!
370 pALS served by our various programs.
4,000 individual contacts with pALS and family members.
250+ Loan Closet items loaned during 2015 and more than 300 items in total currently on loan to pALS and another 80 Loan Closet items still available for loan.
110 pALS and families received Respite Care Assistance at a cost approaching $130,000 and almost 9,000 hours of care from over 50 different home health agencies. That is a 30% increase in service as compared to 2014!
AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) Center evaluated and trained and had contact with 60 pALS helping them with methods and equipment that keep them connected with the world around them.
Purchased and direct shipped over 100 items for pALS around the State.
Monthly support groups held in eight (8) locations around Michigan.
Workshops and Seminars were held including: Information Connection in two (2) locations; Brain Control Interface; and The Hospice Decision for pALS.
Distributed supplemental nutrition and personal care items to pALS including scoop plates, built up silverware, T-handle cups, gait belts, adult briefs, and more.
Purchased items for ALS clinics including finger splints, cervical collars, wrist splints, and more.
